The Chemist will be supporting solo artist and co-founder of the legendary Brisbane band the Go-Betweens, Robert Forster at the ARTBAR in Perth on Thursday July 14th in a stripped back, semi-acoustic performance.

"It is a great honour to be offered the opportunity to open the stage for someone as important & special to the Australian music world as Robert Forster... We have been requested to play as a band, however, to strip it back, to accommodate for the atmosphere & also because Robert is playing acoustically. It isn't really appropriate to leave with the arrogant wall of feedback young bands have loved leaving in their wake for decades (ourselves included) when opening for an acoustic performance. So we shall place ourselves in this "acoustic" musical context and see what happens. Taking the flesh off the songs & leaving the bones, we hope you enjoy.
