big thanks

Upon our arrival to our home state, we were showered with gifts of profanities from all the people we had outstanding debts with since we skipped the State back in June. So on a river of cuss words, we walk on swear word water to Fremantle's Newport with none other than our good friends, The Panda Band. The Panda Band is a band i highly recommend you check out. A night inside the skull of the Amplifier bar proceeded with The Sun Orchestra & Split Seconds. Ye old stomping ground provided comfort-ability, Ye old stomping ground provided familiar faces & Ye old stomping ground provided Gin. So on a river of gin we sailed to Margaret River on a boat made from an acoustic guitar (we made a trade with that Josh Pyke guy).... again with the sun orchestra lads we burnt into the night meeting some nice people and talking about days of old and days of new and days of blue.

Howzit! Tonight in Sydney and tomorrow night in Newcastle will cap off an epic voyage that is the Lullabies & Other Lies tour. Massive thanks to everyone who came down to see the shows along the way, and if you're in Sydney tonight, get down to Melt Bar, Kings Cross to party with the likes of Slow Down Honey and The Deer Republic (and of course The Chemist). Doors at 8:00pm, The Chemist hits the stage at 11. You know you want to...

Sandpipers & a new blog writer.

hi there, it's Hamish here, very nervously signing in for my first/possibly only blog entry ever.
Ben's off duty this week due to a bad case of Sandpiper Islanditis (don't ask), so i'm here to let
you know what's been going on in the world of us!!!

First on the chopping block was our conclusion of the Boy & Bear/The Chemist/Passenger tour with
a drive to Wollongong, then Newcastle & ending in Sydney. The weekend concluded with 2 sold out
Oxford Art Factory shows which were large amounts of fun yet slightly emotional. This was due to the fact
we'd become so close to Bozza & Bezza/Passie in our short stint but i can't help thinking that maybe
we're going soft? Anyway, we drowned our sorrows, a lot, & said our goodbyes.

A few days off in Sydney was much appreciated in our camp but by Thursday we were on the road
again to Brisbane for the start of the Lullabies & Other Lies Tour a.k.a the Lullabies & Pun Intended
Tour (who knows why, we talk some serious amounts of nothing in our van). Brisssie was saweeet
with some old friends coming down and new friends met.

Toowoomba was the next night & Phil the owner of the pub made our night a night to remember with
shots/g&t's a plenty, thanks Phil. In the morning (with possibly the worst hangover i've ever had),
we dropped Elliot to the airport (he was flying home in secrecy to be a romantic boyfriend, the big softy)
and began our epic adventure from Brisbane to Melbourne in two days of driving.

Needless to say we made it and are preparing for the rest of the tour (via sleep & pasta).
Check the dates 'cause we're on our way to you soon with Adelaide Friday & Melbourne Saturday !!!

Consider my blogging cherry popped. How'd i go?

For All The Insomniacs In The House

Due to the steadily inflating statistics that indicate the world, in its chaos, is flooded with people struggling to get a good nights sleep, we thought it a good idea to record an EP conisisting of sweet, soft lullabies.  You see with an already established, untapped insomniac market, we are bound to sell a few copies.
